After recently taking over the Costcutter store on Gordon Road, Gosport, retailer Jaranjeet Singh has invested £50,000 in a second Costcutter store, this time on West Street, Fareham.
The old craft shop on West Street has now been transformed into a 2000 sq. ft Costcutter store complete with an in-store ATM, Pay Zone, hot drinks, food to go alongside a strong convenience range and large news and magazine section.
Jaranjeet said: “I wanted to open a contemporary store in Fareham to provide a comprehensive range of products and services to local residents. Being local to the area, I was aware there wasn’t anything on the doorstep for customers which provided such a strong selection. I can now offer an expanded convenience range to customers including fresh produce, hot food to go and fresh coffee.”
This is Jaranjeet’s first store with business partner Harmon Singh Kapoor.
Harmon commented: “Having seen the success of Gosport, I was really pleased to open the Fareham store with Jaranjeet. The support from Costcutter has been excellent and we received great feedback on our launch day from local residents, so I’m confident Costcutter Fareham will be a great success.”
Jaranjeet and Harmon plan to hire two part-time staff members for the Fareham store and are looking to open another store together next year.
